### How to Use the Aquarium Liter Calculation Tool?

To determine how many liters of water your aquarium holds, follow the steps below:

1. Choose the shape of your aquarium: Assuming you have a standard rectangular aquarium, select the rectangular option from the tabs on the calculation tool.
2. Enter the dimensions of your aquarium: Refer to the illustration in the tool and measure the length, depth, and height of your aquarium. Let’s assume a length of 50cm, depth of 30cm, and height of 30cm.
3. The aquarium liter calculator finds the net volume: Based on the example measurements, your aquarium will have a volume of 45 liters.

Please note that this tool calculates the volume of the aquarium based on exact dimensions, showing the approximate volume if it’s filled 100% with water. Items like sand, gravel, decor, glass thickness, and rocks aren’t included in the calculation. Lastly, remember not to fill your aquarium completely.

## How to Measure an Aquarium?

Based on the shape of your aquarium, we’ve marked the areas to measure on the illustration provided in our liter calculation tool. For a rectangular aquarium, L = length, D = depth, H = height. There are also illustrations for cylindrical and rounded aquariums, guiding you to take accurate measurements.
